Fighting for Your Legal Rights with Integrity and Honesty
Introducing Michael J. Kent
Michael J. Kent is the co-founder of Kent | Pincin. Born in Madison, Wisconsin.
He practices in all areas of civil litigation, including personal and catastrophic injury, employment law, wage and hour, and other consumer-related matters, including product liability and public utility litigation.
Michael attended the University of Arizona, where he majored in history, and minored in pre-law studies as an undergraduate. He then attended Pepperdine University, School of Law.
“Employment law is fairly unique because it’s complex. You are also in a position where you often fight for someone’s livelihood - they need to support their family and put food on the table. That is a big responsibility when it comes to securing a win. It’s something I take very seriously.”
Between trying cases to verdict and aggressively working up and litigating cases, Michael has gained in-depth and valuable experience with complex civil litigation matters. Between verdicts, settlements, and appellate victories, to date, he has achieved over 700 million in compensation on behalf of the clients he has represented.
He has worked alongside some of the top plaintiff's attorneys in the nation and developed his expertise in employment law, personal and catastrophic injury, and mass actions.
His cases include the Route 91 Massacre, the Tyndall Sex Abuse Cases, Ward v. Tilly's Inc., (2019) 31 Cal.App.5th 1167, and California Wildfire Litigation.
Michael is admitted to practice before all California and Wisconsin State Courts and the United States District Court for California (Central District, Northern District, and Southern District).
“On the personal injury side, when you have somebody in an accident, and they can’t work in the same way, we help them put the pieces back together. That is the most rewarding part; helping these individuals through their adversity and overcoming it.”
Michael has been voted into the "Super Lawyers: Rising Stars" every year since 2017 and has also been voted into "U.S. News Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch" every year since 2021. He was also selected into ABOTA Sidebar in 2023.
When he isn’t practicing law, Michael likes to spend time with his wife, two boys, and boxer dog, Hans. He also loves to do Peloton and Crossfit.
